NO-KNEAD GARLIC KNOTS
Garlic bread is a favorite for many, especially when it’s freshly made from scratch. The addition of garlic brings a wonderful depth of flavor to the bread. Combining the soft texture of homemade bread with the rich taste of garlic results in a delightful and satisfying dish. This Garlic Knot recipe is made from scratch, using easy-to-find ingredients and no kneading involved, making it a great choice for anyone looking to make their own garlic bread at home.
This garlic bread recipe has been tested multiple times to find the perfect balance of ingredients, which can be adjusted to suit personal preferences. The dough is based on a no-knead bread recipe with a slight change to the rising time. The first rise takes between one to one and a half hours, which works perfectly for making garlic bread that is light and airy.

TIPS FOR PERFECT GARLIC KNOT SHAPE
To ensure the garlic knots come out looking their best, itās essential to limit the second rise to just 15 to 20 minutes. Since the dough is naturally wet and sticky, it rises quickly. If the dough rises for too long, it may lose its shape and collapse, affecting the appearance of the garlic knots. Be mindful of the proofing times to get the perfect homemade garlic bread knots every time.
HOW TO MAKE GARLIC KNOTS
- Divide the dough into 15 equal pieces.
- Roll each piece into a 10-inch long rope. This can be done by pressing the dough gently with your palms and rolling it back and forth on your counter. The dough may shrink back slightly, so itās okay to roll it a little longer than 10 inches.
- Tie each rope into a knot by inserting one end of the dough through the center. As the dough will rise, be sure to leave some space between each garlic knot.

TROUBLESHOOTING GARLIC BREAD
If the dough doesnāt rise:
- Check the yeast for activity by proofing it in warm water.
- Make sure the water or milk used for the yeast is not too hot, as it could kill the yeast and prevent the dough from rising properly.
If the dough rises too much:
- Ensure you are using the correct amount of yeast.
- Donāt let the dough rise beyond the recommended time, as this can cause the dough to overproof and collapse.
- Check the sugar: Yeast feeds on sugar, and too much sugar can cause excessive rising.

THE BENEFITS OF GARLIC IN GARLIC BREAD
Garlic is known for its many health benefits, making it a great addition to any meal, especially homemade garlic bread. From boosting the immune system to offering anti-inflammatory properties, garlic can improve overall health. While some people avoid garlic because of its strong aroma, itās important to know that thereās more to garlic than just its smell. Introducing garlic into your diet, especially in delicious dishes like garlic bread, can provide numerous health advantages.
