Ingredients

  • 2 medium sweet potatoes peeled
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika
  • teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 380°F. Peel the sweet potatoes and cut each into sticks about ¼ inch thick.
  • Place the sweet potato sticks in a large bowl. Add olive oil, salt, garlic powder, paprika, and black pepper. Toss until all pieces are evenly coated.
  • Cook in 2 or 3 batches depending on the size of the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding. Cook for about 12 minutes, shaking or turning halfway through. Cooking time may vary depending on the air fryer.
  • Serve the fries immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3–4 days in the fridge. Reheat in the air fryer at 360°F for 1–2 minutes, or use a toaster oven. Microwaving is also possible, but fries may be softer.
  • Substitutes: For best results, follow the recipe as written, but spices or oils can be adjusted to taste.
  • Equipment Tips: Using an air fryer with clear guides makes cooking easier. Cleanup is simple, and results are consistent.
