Ingredients

  • ¾ cup oat flour
  • ¼ cup brewer’s yeast
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ cup avocado oil
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • ½ cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup chocolate chips plus extra for sprinkling on top

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare an 8×8-inch baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, mix together oat flour, brewer’s yeast, cocoa powder, sea salt, and baking powder.
  • In a larger bowl, whisk the eggs, avocado oil, maple syrup, applesauce, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir gently until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips carefully.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Sprinkle extra chocolate chips if desired.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Let the brownies cool completely before cutting into squares.
